31/01-November-2007. Working on the centre section. Reassembling centre section. Refitted new front ribs. Fitting the centre section ply mod.


Here is this evenings progress:

New front ribs.
All assembled, I made some measurements to check it's square. It is, so very pleased.
After checking it is square I tigntened the tank brackets and rechecked. The new front ribs look nice.
Holes in ribs for fabric rivets.
The ply panel has ribs fitted and these are touching the front ribs.
As you can see from this picture the front ribs go past the front spar and are touching the ribs on the underside of the ply. So I filed them down to fit.
A quick check where the inspection panel need to be fitted.
Drain hole in fabric - I will need one in the ply.
Other inspection hole.
Not convinced this is correct, need to do some research.
Varnished the underside of the ply as I don't intend to remove the tank and varnish after fitting.
