My Great Lakes 2T-1A-2 Rebuild Diary 2008.

17-January-2008. Right hand lower wing.
Continued to fit the ribs (takes a while to fit all the screws). Fitted the brace rods Fitted the pitot and static line - did it now just in case I forgot later.

Wing end.
Fitted the brace wires and left them loose before securing the ribs. As some of the ribs are very close and I needed to move them to fit the brace wire split pins.
I removed the last two ribs and wing end as one part from the old spars. It went straight back on without any problems.
Wing end fitted.
After fitting all the rib bolts - not the rib screws top and bottom of the spar - I tensioned the brace wires. Appart from the inboard bay as I have not fitted the last rib yet. I will leave the wing over night and recheck again tomorrow.
Refitted all the small leading edge ribs.
Fitted the pitot and static line. Wing is really taking shape now.
