My Great Lakes 2T-1A-2 Rebuild Diary 2008.

07/08/09/10-July-2008. Fabric covering.
Finished with the Butyrate layer on the lower wing, it has been keyed and two layers of Rand-o-fill silver butyrate have been applied.

Spraying two layers of Rand-o-proof.
Now coated with two layers of butyrate dope.
After rubbing down the butyrate I had an idea! Hang the wing and I could spray the silver on both sides at the same time - but what about runs?
Spraying went very well, no runs.
With a lamp behind the wing you could see how it was going.
Both sides done, no runs and no foreign objects on the surface.
That's the first two coats of silver, ready for rubbing down and another two.
